Pavement in front of 50
Reported via desktop in the Footpath / pavement problem category anonymously at 22:11, Sat 31 July 2021
Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2905132.
This path has been dug by numerous utility companies and filled in, poorly in some instances which has resulted in a dangerous and uneven surface.
At the end of the road is a footpath which is used by many of varying ages from school children to the older generation, and the damaged path is used to get there as a short cut to the village. It causes a severe trip hazard or causes stumbling often people are seen walking on the road which is also in a poor state of repair with the metalized surface having failed in places as it is used as a turning circle by vehicles of varying weights. So the option for pedestrians is to walk on a failed path or road (with the danger of traffic at school drop off time).
The pavement issue was not addressed as part of the road works, though others in less poor states were, many of the elderly residents expressed disappointment that this was not done and avoid walking on pavement preferring to use road. With more people ordering food and shopping online the level of travel has significantly increased and many drive too fast with limited care and attention .
This has been an issue in excess of 3 years
