Pedestrian crossing at intersection of Collingswood Rd/Beaconsfield Rd & One Pin Lane in Farnham Common
Reported via desktop in the Traffic lights & crossings problems with timings category anonymously at 13:06, Sun 1 August 2021
Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2905909.
The timing for pedestrians to cross this extremely busy road is simply too short, the crossing at Collingswood Rd & One Pin Lane. It changes almost instantly from green to red for pedestrians and a few times I have almost been run over as I cannot walk quickly enough. My son has also almost been hit by cars or lorries because he crosses that road to catch the bus to school. The timing for pedestrians to cross needs to be increased by at 10 more seconds at least.
Furthermore, there is no beeping to alert pedestrians that it's safe to walk and the green-red man sign should also be high up on each opposite post as is normal with most crossings.
This problem has been there for many months so for safety something really must be done before someone is seriously injured or worse.
