Inadequate drainage on Coach Ride and Sunnybank causing flooding
Reported via desktop in the Blocked drain category anonymously at 16:25, Wed 4 August 2021
Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later
During heavy rain, water cascades down Coach Ride and then down Sunnybank. The drainage gullies on Coach Ride do not reduce the flow. The house directly opposite Coach Ride (22a Sunnybank) receives the full impact of the water flow. The dropped kerbs are unable to divert the flow leading to flooding of the garage and the porch. Other gardens and garages on the South side of Sunnybank have also been flooded. The resurfacing of Sunnybank in 2020 has made the problem worse, raising the road level and further reducing the kerb height. I have been in communication with Transport for Bucks about this since November 2019 and, despite assurances that this will be improved, the situation remains the same.
