Traffic lights near holiday inn, heading out of Aylesbury towards A41 bypass

Reported via mobile in the Road surface category anonymously at 21:10, Thursday 23 September 2021

Received by Buckinghamshire Council moments later

The triple manhole cover (that was reported on May on this website as making a bang when driven over and sounds like it is going to fall in), has split in 2, and the loose bit of metal gets flipped up when driven over in traffic, leaving a large metal bit sticking up in the middle of the road. Unfortunately for me this resulted in an instant rip in my tyre, as well as another driver a few minutes behind me in traffic. A costly fix. This is very, very dangerous and damaging vehicles, especially as it can’t always be seen until the last minute in constant flows of traffic.
