More pothole than road

Reported via desktop in the Road surface category anonymously at 19:53, Sunday 10 October 2021

Received by Buckinghamshire Council moments later

Pothole approx 5m x 5m across northbound carriageway of Stoke Road (B416). Damage was caused to both wheels of my vehicle, so will now be complaining directly to the council due to the damaged caused. Whilst back today taking photos of the pothole we observed a number of vehicles either having to slam on their brakes, or take evasive action and drive on the opposite side of the road to avoid it, with a number of near misses happening.

Since we hit the pothole in the dark where it was not possible to be seen, a sign has been put up to warn of 'FAILED ROAD SURFACE' but it is a good 500yrds from the damaged road section, and was on its front, so unreadable, as we also found today - we have since put it back up!

We can see that the damage was reported on here in July, with works 'booked in' but still no action!
