Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3057175.
Please see e-mail received at the Town Council" I live in Station Road, Princes Risborough and there are a number of cherry trees on the verge outside our house. A couple of these trees have become quite large and are now causing some concerns. First concern is that one of the trees has now completely overgrown the street light outside no30 Station Road. This makes the area very poorly lit and very dark, which isn’t great for pedestrians walking on the pavement. Second concern is that another tree is covering the overhead cables which go to the telegraph pole outside our house. These cables are for our electricity and telephone cables. It’s not just the cables for our house but for houses on the, opposite side of Station Road. I’m just worried with winter coming and bad weather these cables could be brought down because they are tangled up in the branches of the tree. Third concern is that the trees are overgrowing the pavement with low branches and block our view when coming out of our drive. We often have to cut the lower branches so we can see. They are lovely trees but I do feel they have been allowed to become too big for the area they are in. I look forward to hearing back from you about what is going to happen regarding the trees."
Maintenance of trees in verges are not part of the devolved services contract.
