Bollards removed and not reinstated
Reported via desktop in the Bollards or railings category anonymously at 11:05, Thu 28 October 2021
Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3089423.
The alleyway between The Spinney and A40 had some work done over the weekend where they laid some pipework. As part of this, the security bollards on both the A40 side and The Spinney side were removed during the excavation. They have not been back on-site for a few days and it doesn't look like they've provisioned reinstating them as the alley has now been resurfaced with the bollards left in a pile of rubble. These bollards are important for security and to avoid rat-run drivers through The Spinney. I have attached some Google Maps photos showing how the alley looked (up till last week) and a photo taken this morning showing the alleyway in its current state. The contractors were doing some drainage work connecting the Esso garage to the main sewers. Their name was West Midlands something...(can't recall exactly)

Update: Some of the bollards have been put back, but on the A40 side, they have installed 2 bollards very close to each other (and to the left-hand fence) with the 3rd bollard missing and therefore over a 1 m gap left between them and the right-hand fence, making them almost pointless. There should be 3 bollards on either end of the alley (as per my previous photos of how it used to look) and they need to be placed correctly apart to serve their actual purpose. Please can you get this sorted. One of the residents from the cul-de-sac said they reinstated them at the end of last week and haven't been back since. The company doing the work was "Steve Williams Construction West Midlands" apparently.
