On Oxford Road, Marlow Buckinghamshire ( just past but opp side Platts motor company) is a convenient highly used foot path that allows all people but mostly Grammar school children and parents like myself, to cut through and up to Spinfield primary school. As you come from west street down oxnard rd it get ridiculously narrow very suddenly with a pavement that’s less than a foot wide and a frightening blind corner. But due to old houses and space that can’t be changed. The Worst part is where tens of young people at once ( hundreds over the morning, between 8-845 am ) have to cross the road / jump out of cars in the middle of the road / crossing ox rd to get onto the foot path. Cars from out of town ( opp direction) seem to be the major problem as there cars have more momentum coming from a clearer stretch of road before , they seem to be well over 40 mph then break into all these children and a fatality or horrible accident seems imminent . Drivers rushing, blaming the children going to fast , kids with ear phone in unaware , tiny children and fast big vehicles all colliding. It’s horrifying every morning! Please !!! Could you put a speed / child school sign both sides of space permits but absolutely on the left side coming into town before the path as a warning and due to space at least paint black and white warning crossing lines aligned with the path entrance on this part of Oxford Rd. On the road. Please save a terrible accident happening and help all and especially young pedestrians. Thank you.
