I am the Practice Business Manager at Hughenden Valley Surgery. We have been running Covid vaccination clinics for the whole general population and vaccinating between 600-900 patients a day. The surgery car park overflows vastly and therefore visitors are being forced to park on the grass verge at the front of the building adjacent to the footpath. We placed matting on the grass to protect the soil, however now that the ground does not dry the area is incredibly muddy and slippery. It has been brought to our attention that people have slipped on the slippery soil. We are now being asked by the government to increase the capacity for vaccinations and are looking at providing the service 7 days a week. This will make the footpath much more hazardous. We would appreciate if you could provide a temporary solution to resolve the wet mud that is a fall risk in order to protect the general public and patients. Furthermore the footpath is broken with potholes that has worsened the situation. We would request either some temporary paving slabs or heavier more effective matting. I hope you can appreciate the urgency of this situation. Thank you.
