Give way sign angled dangerously

Give way sign here, when heading southwest, looks like it is for the main B489. Driving in the middle of the night there is no light and you suddenly see this sign. This evening a person in front of me essentially carried out an emergency brake from 60mph because they thought the give way was for B489. This could have caused a nasty accident, I frequently see people doing it on my way to work.

The sign either needs angling away so the B489 can’t see it, or lighting needs adding to the junction or it needs to be moved.
