Large pothole previously reported and not attended to

Reported via desktop in the Pothole category anonymously at 15:55, Monday 28 February 2022

Received by Buckinghamshire Council moments later

This pothole was originally reported about 12 months ago and no action was taken. It has now grown in size due to the very large number of heavy 40 tonne lorries turning into the building site. Furthermore over the past 12 months the continual stress on the road caused by the stream of lorries has now pushed the road foundation material sideways and caused my tarmac driveway, adjacent to the road, to have been pushed up from its original level by over 15 cm and cracked it, and it gets worse daily. The photos show my driveway undamaged just before the building traffic started and a closeup of the hole and the change in height of my driveway and the significant damage to my tarmac surface. The actual depth of the pothole is shown in the final photo as 7 cm. The bottom is just mud and loose gravel. If this pothole had been repaired when I first reported it the damage to my driveway would have been minimal but it will now be an expensive repair. The damage has been cumulative with approximately 300 * 40 tonne tipper trucks reversing into the building site and their offside wheels all falling into the pothole and the front wheels steering while in there. The work opposite is still not finished there have been 4 further lorries today.

Who will now pay for the repair to my drive which would have been far less damaged if the road had been repaired when this damage was first reported?
