The tree was a suitable size in 2008 but by 2015 had become a problem in overbearing 23 Pound Lane and Wycombe DC grantedTPO Consent to crown the tree 15/08207/TPO. On 23 Feb 2017 Transport for Buckinghamshire confirmed that the "tree had significantly outgrown its base and presented a danger to pedestrians and property alike". The tree remains untouched and is a hazard
