Footpath blocked by workmen, forcing pedestrians into the road

Reported via desktop in the Footpath / pavement problem category anonymously at 11:38, Tuesday 20 September 2022

Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later

Workmen at a house have completely blocked the pavement where there is no alternative pavement on the other side of the road, and no signage or alternative footpath marked out to get pedestrians round the blockage. Very poor visibility for / of pedestrians stepping out into the roadway because of the workmen's parked vans.

  • Pavement now cleared for the day but hazardous pile of sand left in the highway without signage, lights, barriers or any warnings on approach. This is a dark part of the street at night. This seriously needs addressing before nightfall.
