Collapsed Drain on Chisbridge Lane causing flooding and huge deposits of mud
Reported via desktop in the Blocked drain category anonymously at 14:49, Sun 30 October 2022
Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3924790.
There are 5 drains at this point at the bottom of the valley. Last year after repeated flooding Buckinghamshire council send people to unblock them. After two days they reported that they had unblocked one but the others were collapsed. There is insufficient drainage to stop flooding at this location so it floods every time there is more than moderate rain. This is causing property damage as well as causing septic tank to overflow.
Whenever a flood has then drained into nearby fields there is a very large deposit of mud in the road.

This has been passed to the Local Area Technician to investigate.
We know that an important part of any road network is the drainage system which is designed to carry water away from the road surface. Even when a gully is clean and well maintained it will only cope with a certain volume of water at one time, a sudden and heavy downpour can still cause flooding especially if the road is in a low lying area.
