A section of Chapel Road has double yellow lines to allow for cars to pull in during busy times. Unfortunetly a number of Carrington School parents dont feel that the restrictions apply to them and park on the double yellow lines every single school day during drop off and pick up. The result is that cars end up mounting the pavements just to be able to pass each other - It is an accident waiting - these double yellow lines restrictions need to be enforced so there is deterrent to parents.
This has been passed to the Parking Services Team.
Subject to available resources, a civil enforcement officer (traffic warden) will go and assess, and if a vehicle is parked in contravention of a parking restriction, a penalty charge notice may be issued.
