Missing and invisible verge poles
Reported via Android in the Bollards or railings category anonymously at 12:42, Wed 8 February 2023
Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4214478.
In the last 3-4 weeks we had 2 serious accidents on this windy stretch of road. I think this is - at least in parts - due to the broken, missing and overgrown reflective verge poles. Most are not totally invisible, in parts because the hedges in this area are not being cut back far enough or the posts have been damaged by the cutting machinery. In the dark there is little to alert drivers who are not familiar with the area to the fact that this road has several sharp downhill/uphill turns that cannot be taken at speed. Please replace the reflective verge posts and consider additional signs like reflective chevrons, slow signs, lane markings and LED integrated in the road surface/lane markings.
