Flooding during rain
Reported in the Pavements/footpaths category by Philip Sutcliffe at 11:31, Sun 15 May 2016
Sent to Buckinghamshire Council 3 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 824602.
The footpath linking Ledborough Lane with St Michael's Green suffers from flooding in two spots, which can often lead to deep water that renders the path unusable. It's a very popular path for residents, commuters, schoolchildren and cyclists, and gets extremely muddy whenever this happens because it's got vegetation on one side and a newly 'landscaped' fence the other side. Locals have taken to placing boards across the worst section in attempt to bottom out the puddle, but this just gets slippery in the rain, and is a trip hazard in dry weather.
It's such a shame the planners didn't extract a couple of £'000 of s.106 monies from the developer who then marketed the adjacent new house for £2.6m.
Several people have taken photos, and I'm sure have sent these in, and besides it's dry at the moment, so I haven't. I would be happy to photograph it (with duck boards) if you want me too however - we only live at the end of the path!
PLEASE can you take the advantage of the dry season to resurface and drain the path.
To do a PERFECT job, you might also consider widening the path, including some provision so that cyclists and pedestrians can share the path, and improve the lighting to match that of Ledborough lane itself.
These would be very popular improvements and amenities for locals and visitors alike.
