Road lines badly designed
Reported in the Road traffic signs category anonymously at 11:21, Thu 20 October 2016
Sent to Buckinghamshire Council 4 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 914916.
Due to a crossing, the lane lines disappear then come back. Bad drivers are therefore cutting across lanes from the outside to middle lane to go straight on, causing accidents with cars going straight on that are already in the middle lane. Please complete the lines to show bad drivers the correct lane they should be in!

The lanes still haven't been updated, and I nearly got side swiped this morning by someone driving from the outside land to the middle lane to go straight on. Surely it can't be that hard to paint the lines on the road to stop this happening. I'm sure the local residents are fed up with hearing car horns blowing so often!

I have already been involved in an accident here where the driver in the outside line cut across me into the middle lane over the pedestrian crossing. I'm wondering if the council are liable for their bad road design!

I drive here regularly to/from work and almost every single weekday I either get cut across from the right lane into the middle lane or I see it happen to someone else. Whats more frustrating is that these drivers tend to then merge across into the right lane to overtake on the other side. The design is utterly ridiculous! Something needs to be done.

My insurance company says it will be a 50/50 decision on an accident I had here. But what can I do? Some idiot cuts me up, lies about it. I can't prove 1 second earlier that he was in the right hand lane. What doesn't help is that the two lanes going straight on are slightly to the right after the pedestrian crossing. Less observant drivers will fall for it. Bad road design!
