House shaking violently with HGVs and busses going over bridge
Reported in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 11:48, Mon 28 November 2016
Sent to Buckinghamshire Council 2 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 934033.
I have owned my property on Wingate Walk since 2009, and in the past couple of years there has been an increase in traffic due to the changed road layout and the building of the Arla factory. This year, the amount and speed of the heavy vehicles has increased greatly. The house shakes so violently that it feels as though the bed is being kicked (this goes on all day and night - last night it was every 10-20 minutes until i finally fell asleep at 2am). Cracks have appeared across the entire ceiling at the back of the house, and are appearing in the living room and kitchen at the front now. My neighbours are also experiencing this issue. I am worried about the effects this vibration is having on my home, and the disturbed sleep is affecting my family also.

Had an automated reply from the council on the same day, and the next day, a follow up email with a reference number to track my problem. The last update (2/12/16) is to say that works are scheduled to fix the problem, and I will be emailed as things develop.

No update from the council. There was a lull for a few days (guessing Xmas lull) but now back to normal shuddering home every few minutes at certain times of the day and through the night. Have more cracks appearing throughout the house. Hoping sleep deprivation kills us before the house collapsing on us does.
